By using Deep Focus you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

The service

Deep Focus is a free, static web page that implements a Pomodoro-style focus timer. It is provided at no cost, requires no account or payment, and has no paid tier. There is no server component: once the page has loaded, everything runs in your browser.

Your data is your responsibility

All of your settings, tasks, sessions and logs are stored in your browser's localStorage on the device you use, as described on the privacy page. Nothing is backed up anywhere else. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, switching devices or a browser evicting storage under pressure will remove that data permanently. Use the JSON export in the Settings panel if the history matters to you.

No warranty

Deep Focus is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Browsers throttle background tabs and may delay or suppress notifications; the app is not suitable for any purpose where a missed alert would cause harm. Do not rely on it as a medical, safety, aviation, industrial or otherwise critical timer.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the authors and publisher of Deep Focus are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits or productivity, arising out of your use of or inability to use the app.

Acceptable use

You may use Deep Focus for personal or commercial focus work, install it as an app, and keep using it offline. You may not misrepresent it as your own product, remove the attribution in the footer while redistributing it, or use it to break any law that applies to you.

Availability and changes

The page may be updated, moved or taken offline at any time without notice. Because the app is cached by a service worker, a copy you have already loaded generally keeps working offline even if the site becomes unreachable.

Governing terms

These terms are written in US English and are governed by the laws applicable to the publisher. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
